Why athletes reach for the flex

Two wavelengths

660nm red and 850nm near-infrared. Near-infrared penetrates further than red light alone.

Moulds to joints

Silicone body wraps knees, elbows, shoulders and calves. The strap set holds it hands-free.

Ten-minute sessions

Fits between your last set and dinner. Timers at 10, 15 and 20 minutes.

Cordless

Up to four sessions per charge. Use it on the couch, at the gym, or travelling.

120 diodes

100 mW/cm² irradiance at the surface, across the full contact area.

60 nights to try it

A 60-night home trial and a 12 month warranty.

THE SCIENCE

What the light actually does.

Red (660nm) and near-infrared (850nm) light is absorbed by your cells. Photobiomodulation is one of the most researched areas of light therapy — but it isn't a medical treatment, and individual results vary.

Questions from athletes

Which wavelength should I choose?
the flex comes in Red, Green, Blue, and Infrared + Red — they're separate versions of the device, not settings on it, so you pick one when you order. Infrared + Red is the most popular choice for training and recovery, because near-infrared penetrates further than red light alone.
What if it isn't for me?
You get 60 nights to try it at home. If it isn't making a difference, send it back. It's also covered by a 12 month warranty.
When do most people use it?
Usually after training, or in the evening. Most people run 10–20 minute sessions, 3–5 times a week. Consistency matters more than session length.
Where on the body can I use it?
Anywhere the wrap moulds — knees, elbows, shoulders, lower back, hamstrings, calves and forearms. The strap set holds it in place hands-free.
Is it really cordless?
Yes. A full charge gives up to four 10-minute sessions, so you can use it at the gym or travelling without hunting for a socket.
Is red light therapy safe?
Red and near-infrared light is non-invasive, non-thermal and contains no UV. It is not a medical treatment and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. If you take photosensitising medication or have a specific health concern, check with your doctor first.
What does the research actually say?
Photobiomodulation is one of the most studied areas of light therapy, with a growing body of published research. It is still an emerging field, findings vary between studies, and individual results vary.
