THE SCIENCE

What the light actually does.

Red (660nm) and near-infrared (850nm) light is absorbed by your cells. Photobiomodulation is one of the most researched areas of light therapy β€” but it is an emerging field, it isn't a medical treatment, and individual results vary.

Common questions

How do I use it?
Lie the mat flat, or drape it over the area you're focusing on. Switch it on, set the timer, and let it run. Most people do 10 minutes.
How often?
Most people use it daily or every other day. Consistency matters more than session length.
Which wavelength do I choose?
the flex comes in Red, Green, Blue, and Infrared + Red. You pick one when you order β€” they're separate versions of the device, not settings on it.
Is it safe?
Red and near-infrared light is non-invasive, non-thermal and contains no UV. It is not a medical treatment and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. If you have a health condition, take photosensitising medication, or are under a doctor's care, speak with your doctor before starting.
What does the research say?
Photobiomodulation is one of the most studied areas of light therapy, with a growing body of published research. It remains an emerging field, findings vary between studies, and individual results vary. We don't claim it will do anything specific for you.
